Some of our new Year 7 students had the fantastic idea of holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

In the week beforehand, they designed some beautifully eye-catching posters and distributed these through the school to staff and students, and then spent some time with staff planning the event.

At breaktime on Thursday 5 October, all of our students gathered in the canteen for a hot chocolate and some sweet treats. It was brilliant to see not only the sense of togetherness of our students in the school community, but also to see their awareness of helping others in the wider community. We were delighted that some of them brought cakes and cookies to be sold at the event.
